His Holiness Sakya Trinzin Consecrates New Monastery

On Sunday 8 June 2008, His Holiness Sakya Trinzin visited the Drikung Dozin Theckcho Ling Monastery in Bir, Northern India. Whilst there he was offered a Mandala by the management committee. He also consecrated the three new statues of Buddha, Chenrezik, and Guru Rinpoche, as well as the Main Temple.. Several monks from our Tso Pema Monastery attended the ceremony and performed puja. His Holiness stayed for around an hour and gave blessings to the local people.

We would like to thank His Holiness for taking the time to consecrate our monastery, as we know he was extremely busy at that time.
